Kalpitiya Mangrove Conservation

A total of 3,000 mangrove plants are being replanted in Anaiwasala, Kalpitiya, as part of our commitment to upscaling livelihoods and biodiversity through lagoon restoration.

Kalpitiya Lagoon Basin

The selected Kalpitiya area along the Puttalam lagoon is one of the most extensive mangrove systems in Sri Lanka. Avonsmart Engineering provides the funding to rehabilitate this ecosystem, creating education and long-term employment opportunities for the local community.
